Seán Osborne F.G.A., D.G.A.
Sean Osborne has been making high end bespoke jewellery in Dublin's Temple Bar since 1997. He trained in London's Guildhall University and went on to produce objet d'art for Asprey of Bond Street, London. Sean is a qualified gemmologist and diamond grader making him one of only two Goldsmiths/gemmologists working in Ireland today.
Sean has many high profile clients including U2, Gavin Friday, Bill Cullen and Jackie Lavin. Bono recently commissioned Sean to make a special piece for each of The Dubliners and was also recently commissioned by Bill Keary to create a piece marking Adi Roche's twenty-five years in Chernobyl.
DESIGNER
Seán designs and makes platinum, gold and silver jewellery. The pieces are normally one-off commissions. Seán works closely with his clients, taking into consideration the possibility of the materials used, to produce a personally designed piece, subtly imbued with Seáns' own style.
GOLDSMITH
Trained in Londons' Guildhald University as a Goldsmith. He now works from Dublin, creating his internationally award winning designs whilst also lecturing at the 'National College of Art and Design' and 'The Liberties College Dublin'.
GEMMOLOGIST
Seán is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association F.G.A. and a trained diamond grader D.G.A. Seán is one of three of the most highly trained Gemmologists in Ireland, and as such is qualified to gauge a gem's worth for Insurance purposes. His knowledge of gems places him a unique position to blend the aesthetic of the stone with the materials used. He is now firmly established as one of Irelands' leading Goldsmiths and Gemmologists.
